"Be joyful always; pray continually;

give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

1 Thessalonians

A message from Naomi Burgess

What struck me as soon as I started was the friendly atmosphere of the school.  It doesn’t feel like a normal school; although we work hard we can also feel at home here.  Everyone is friends with everyone, so you never feel lonely even if there are only one or two people in your year.  It’s nice to interact with people of all different ages instead of just those in your year group.  When I was ill I was touched how many people were thinking and praying for me, even people I didn’t know directly.  It felt nice to be a part of the ‘Emmaus family’!

I can’t think of any specific favourite memories of Emmaus, but looking back this has been the first year I have enjoyed school!  I think that being at Emmaus has helped me to grow intellectually, and, more importantly, spiritually.  Next year I am going to Bath College to do my A-levels.  I feel sad to be leaving but I do feel ready; Emmaus has been good preparation for further education, and for life!
