End of Year Service 2009 The school hall was packed out for the end of year service on July 13th 2009. Emmaus has more pupils than ever before, so it was more of a squeeze than ever before. The new classroom really came in to its own. Pupils read, prayed and sang. Local Pastor Stuart Burgess gave children, parents and friends two simple but important commands from the Bible - "Give thanks in everything" (1 Thessalonians 5 v 18) and "Set your minds on things above" (Colossians 3 v 1). Presentations were made to pupils for their performance in the Sports Day; others who had completed the Bikability course were given certificates; some were also given small gifts for achieving perfect attendance. Naomi Burgess and Daniel Jarvis did two of the readings - they have now completed their time at Emmaus Mrs Wiltshire says goodbye to French teacher Ceila Ford; Matthew Richards says farewell to Emily Pitman Naomi and Daniel receive leaving presents; Mrs Wiltshire thanks Vivian Gulliford for all her help. Hannah Stone sings "May the mind of Christ my Saviour"; Mrs Hurley presents Mrs Wiltshire with flowers
